Wow！ What a book！ This had me at the edge of my seat from page one to the very last word！ Such a page turning， heart pounding read！ And Beatrix is a fire cracker！ Loved her sass！ Jade was such a headstrong mama bear and i loved her character as well。 And while the book paints the husband， Cam in a light that isn’t flattering。。 as secret after secret gets revealed， i still rooted for him。 Such a riveting book with so many twists and turns！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This is a fast paced， white knuckle， quick read。 The narrators of the audiobook do a wonderful job， so if you need an audiobook this would be a good one。 This story makes you wonder how many are living beyond their means， though live their life as if they have not a care in the world。 Don’t assume that children don’t see and hear what’s going on around them， because they do！

My Darling Husband is a story about Jade， Cam， and their children Beatrix and Baxter （the Bees as their parents call them）。 The book opens with a total loss fire at Cam’s most successful steakhouse。 While he is dealing with that a stranger breaks into his house and holds Jade and the Bees captive。 His demand is a very specific amount of money which Cam has until 7pm that day to bring to the house or the stranger will kill Jade and the Bees。Talk about a great setup to a suspense novel！ The story My Darling Husband is a story about Jade， Cam， and their children Beatrix and Baxter （the Bees as their parents call them）。 The book opens with a total loss fire at Cam’s most successful steakhouse。 While he is dealing with that a stranger breaks into his house and holds Jade and the Bees captive。 His demand is a very specific amount of money which Cam has until 7pm that day to bring to the house or the stranger will kill Jade and the Bees。Talk about a great setup to a suspense novel！ The story is told from the present with Cam giving an interview to a reporter and from the past， the day of the fire and the home invasion。 I love dual timeline books as they normally provide background。 This dual timeline seemed to support the present more if that makes sense。My favorite character is Jade。 Jade is a fierce woman and mother and her primary goal throughout the story is to protect her children。 As a mother I can relate。 This story is so captivating， I had a hard time putting down it down。 Lies and secrets are revealed and makes you realize Jade does not know Cam as well as she thought she did。 。。。more

My oh my， this one was incredibly bingeable！！ Domestic thrillers are one of my favourite sub genres and Belle did a remarkable job utilizing short but concise chapters to continually build the suspense！ I also relished in the dual timelines alternating between the current day interview and the multiple POVs during the home invasion！ Everything’s not always as glamorous as they seem and I secretly love watching the secrets spill！ This is a fun and twisty page turner that you don’t want to miss！

I was so excited to receive a copy of My Darling Husband thanks to @htpbooks and for inviting me to be a part of this book tour。 The story begins with an armed stranger in a mask forcing his way inside the house of a wealthy family。 The stranger ties the wife and children and demands a ransom to be paid fairly quickly。 This book had my mom heart beating so fast。 It alternates chapters from the events happening during the home invasion and the husband racing around town trying to gather the ranso I was so excited to receive a copy of My Darling Husband thanks to @htpbooks and for inviting me to be a part of this book tour。 The story begins with an armed stranger in a mask forcing his way inside the house of a wealthy family。 The stranger ties the wife and children and demands a ransom to be paid fairly quickly。 This book had my mom heart beating so fast。 It alternates chapters from the events happening during the home invasion and the husband racing around town trying to gather the ransom money。Between the two main plots， I was more engaged during the chapters that focused on the home invasion。 As a mom myself， I was invested in finding out if the kids were safe。 I was rooting for the daughter all the way who seemed to be the only one brave enough to make a bold move。 However， the armed invader never came across as being truly dangerous。 He was determined to get the money but he wasn’t pictured as a violent character。 There’s a lot of action in the chapters that follow the husband as he’s living this terrifying situation that was essentially caused by him。 Secrets are revealed concerning his financial situation which his wife is unaware of。 I found this theme to be a bit of a cliche。 Rich husband， picture perfect family， wife doesn’t know the truth about their finances。 Overall， this was a suspenseful read with a steady pace。 There isn’t a big twist at the end and I found the story to be a bit predictable but it did keep my attention。 I’ve heard great things about some of the author’s previous books so I’ll definitely be checking those out。 。。。more
